We do this in close partnership with our parents and school community that is inclusive of the Southern Yorke Peninsula cluster of schools
Classrooms have:

- large learning spaces to allow for both inquiry learning and explicit teaching
- access to technology equipment such as drones and 3D printing.

SPS LEARNERS HAVE STRONG LINKS WITH THEIR COMMUNITY
- combined sports day with Curramulka PS
- Interschool sports day with all Southern Yorke Peninsula schools.
- regular volunteers listen to our learners read daily
- attend visiting performances at Minlaton District School.
- Southern Yorke Peninsula District SAPSASA teams that compete in Adelaide
- tuck days supplied by our governing council are provided regularly throughout the year
- Anzac Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies in the community, including visiting the cemetery, identifying and honouring the graves of service men and women
- community walks to allow for authentic learning opportunities
- a Play Centre facilitated by a trained early childhood educator operates on site every Monday morning for parents and children 0-5 years old.
